    • PRI: Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is a United Nations-supported international network of investors working together to promote the incorporation of environmental, social, and corporate governance factors (ESG) into investment decision-making. Mackenzie is a signatory of the PRI and improved its strategy and governance scores to A in 2020.

    • RIA: The Responsible Investment Association (RIA) is Canada’s industry association for responsible investment. Mackenzie is an RIA member and was a founding signatory to the Diversity and Inclusion Investor Statement in 2020.

    • Sustainable Development Goals: The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030. Mackenzie directly contributes to a number of SGD’s:
          - SDG1: No Poverty;
          - SDG5: Gender Equity;
          - SDG13: Climate Action;
          - SDG16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions;
          - SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals.

    • BlackNorth Initiative: Led by The Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism, The BlackNorth Initiative is on a mission to end anti-Black systemic racism. All IGM companies have signed the BlackNorth Initiative Pledge to help end systemic racism against Black people. In addition, Barry McInerney, CEO of Mackenzie, joined the BlackNorth Board of Directors and supports the Philanthropic Committee. Mackenzie is committed to the targets associated with the BlackNorth Initiative. 

    • CDP: The CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) is an international non-profit organization that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impact. IGM has been included in CDP’s prestigious global “A List” for its leading efforts to combat climate change.

    • Ceres: Ceres Investor Network members engage in and collaborate on environmental, social and governance issues to advance leading investment practices, corporate engagement strategies and policy solutions through working groups and shared learning opportunities, such as webinars and events. Ceres works with investors specifically to better manage carbon, water and supply chain risks, and ramp up global investments in clean energy and sustainable food and water systems. Mackenzie is a member of the Ceres Investor Network.

    • TCFD: The Financial Stability Board created the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) to improve and increase reporting of climate-related financial information. Mackenzie, with its parent company IGM Financial, supports the recommendations of the TCFD.

    • Climate Action 100+: Climate Action 100+ is an investor-led initiative to ensure the world's largest corporate greenhouse gas emitters take necessary action on climate change. Mackenzie is an investor signatory of Climate Action 100+ and participates in its collaborative engagements.

    • CCGG: Representing the interests of institutional investors, the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG) promotes good governance practices in Canadian public companies and the improvement of the regulatory environment to best align the interests of boards and management with those of their shareholders, and to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the Canadian capital markets. Mackenzie is a member of the CCGG, with representation on the members’ Public Policy Committee.

    •  Women’s Empowerment Principles: The Women's Empowerment Principles (WEP) offer guidance for businesses looking to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community. The Principles emphasize the business case for corporate action to promote gender equality and women's empowerment. These are informed by real-life business practices and input from around the globe. Mackenzie is a signatory of the WEP.
